History :-

In 16 September, 1977 (Sri Ganesh Chaturthi) the first “Saraswati Shishu Mandir” was established in Bhubaneswar, Orissa. Prof. (Dr.)Nagendra Nath Pradhan and Sri Jagadish Prasad Pattnayak was the founder of this school and the school was running in a govt. quarter at Unit-III, Bhubaneswr during that time. There were as many as six schools in various parts of Orissa by 1980.

SSVM is progressive, innovative Govt. recognized, Co-educational and Unaided Institution which offers a child-centric and activity-curriculum. It provides education from primary classes to standard X according to BSE curriculum. The school follows syllabus prescribed by BSE(Board of Secondary Education). Shiksha Vikash Samiti, Odisha is affiliated to Vidya Bharati and Registered under the society Registration Act XXI of 1860.

Aim :-

Is to develop a National System of education policy through which a generation of youth could be produced which is infused with patriotic fervor and Hinduism which is physically, vitally mentally , intellectually and spiritually fully developed and which can successfully meet the present challenges of life and which is committed to well harmonize, enrich and refine national life by setting the downtrodden, deprived brethren dwelling in villages, forests, hill-caves and slums free from social malpractices, exploitation and injustice.
